How it works

Capegard 500 mg work tablet belongs to a class of medication called cytostatic agents which is an antineoplastic/ anticancer prodrug (gets converted into an active substance once into the body). Capegard 500 mg tablet, after being absorbed by the body changes into an active anticancer agent which is more active in the tumor tissue cells than in the normal cells, and thus, stops the growth of cancer cells and  slows down the spread of cancer in the body.

How to use Capegard Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Capegard 500 mg use Tablet is to be taken with food.

Interaction for Capegard

Food : It is better to take this medicine with food.
Alcohol : Interaction with alcohol is unknown. Please consult your doctor.
Pregnancy : It is unsafe to use during pregnancy. Human and animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus. The potential benefits may warrant the use in pregnant women despite potential risks. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation : It is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Please consult your doctor.

Precautions:

Do not take Capecitabine if you are pregnant or planning to have a baby soon. If you are pregnant or if you become pregnant while being treated with Capecitabine, alert your doctor immediately. Capegard 500 mg price may cause harm to your unborn child. Both men and women must use proven birth control methods while being treated with Capecitabine. You may wish to discuss birth control methods with your doctor. Alert your doctor if you are breastfeeding. Do not breastfeed while you are being treated with Capecitabine. Alert your doctor immediately if you ever had an allergic reaction with another cancer medicine called 5-fluorouracil (5-FU). Capecitabine may not be suitable for you if you ever had an allergic reaction to 5-fluorouracil (5-FU). Alert your doctor if you have been told that your body does not have the enzyme DPD (dihydropyridimidine dehydrogenase).
