Description of the drug

Aprecap 125mg is an active ingredient of Aprecap drug which is put under the anti-cancer category. It is available in capsule form and is prescribed for both men and women. This drug is often prescribed to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by cancer drug treatment (chemotherapy). An antiemetic chemical compound belongs to a class of drugs called substance P antagonists (SPA).

How to use Aprecap Capsule

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Aprecap 125mg use may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Aprecap Capsule works

Aprecap 125 mg Capsule is an antiemetic medication. It works by blocking the action of a chemical messenger (neurokinin) in the brain that may cause nausea and vomiting during anti-cancer treatment (chemotherapy).

SIDE-EFFECTS

Constipation; diarrhea; dizziness; hair loss; headache; heartburn; hiccups; loss of appetite; nausea; tiredness; upset stomach; weakness.
Seek medical attention right away if any of these SEVERE Aprecap 125mg side effect occur:
Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing or swallowing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue; unusual hoarseness); burning, numbness, or tingling of your arms, hands, legs, or feet; burning or pain during urination; chest, jaw, or arm pain; confusion; difficult or decreased urination.

Missed dose

You are not supposed to miss a dose of aprepitant and take it according to the prescribed schedule. In case you miss a dose, contact your doctor or pharmacist immediately to confirm your medical condition and get a new dosing schedule.

Overdose:

An overdose of any medicine is not good for health. If you suspect having taken the overdose of Aprecap 125mg dosage, then contact your doctor immediately to understand its consequences. The waves of nausea and vomiting are possible in overdose.

What medications interact with Aprecap?

Several medications interact with Aprecap capsules and should either not be taken while you are taking Aprecap or only after discussion and instruction from your doctor:
Drugs that cause a serious reaction with Aprecap: the antipsychotic pimozide, the antihistamines terfenadine and astemizole, cisapride for reflux,
Drugs that affect Aprecap 125mg price: the antifungal ketoconazole, the antibiotic rifampicin, the antidepressant paroxetine, diltiazem for high blood pressure, St John's Wort
Drugs that are affected by Aprecap:  the anticoagulant warfarin, hormonal contraceptives, the sedative midazolam, tolbutamide for diabetes, the antidepressant paroxetine, diltiazem for high blood pressure

How should Aprecap drug be stored?

Store this medication in a cool, dry placeand out of the reach of your children and pets. The medicines must not be used past the expiry date. Dispose of the wrapper properly. Do not refrigerate the drug.
